Suzuki Motorcycles India is back into the news with its latest motorcycle launch – Suzuki Intruder 150. The Intruder 150 has been launched in the entry-level cruiser motorcycle segment, which has only Bajaj Avenger 150 Street as a competitor. The launch of Suzuki Intruder 150 is going to bring a tough time for the Bajaj Avenger Series, which also has the 220cc Cruise variant.

All thanks to the well-planned Suzuki Intruder 150 Price, Design, Styling, Engine, Performance, Fuel Mileage and Features, this entry-level cruiser has everything which makes it a better buy over the Avenger. It is priced at Rs.98, 340 (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi), slightly more than the Bajaj Avenger, but is still a better choice.

Here are 5 things that make it a better cruiser than Avenger.

Better Styling & Looks

The first and the most important reasons why we like Suzuki Intruder 150 over the Bajaj Avenger is its attractive design, best-in-class styling, sporty looks and eye-catching appearance on the road. It looks much better than the old-fashioned and outdated looks of the Bajaj Avenger Street. The Suzuki Intruder 150 sports a premium, bold, sporty and high-end cruiser look, which is inspired from its elder brother, the Intruder M1800R. You simply can’t remove your eyeballs from this cruiser motorcycle on the first look.

Premium Features

The Suzuki Intruder 150 has a lot of premium features to offer, where most of them are not available on the Avenger. Some of the good features of Suzuki Intruder 150 are:

  • Sporty projector headlamps
  • LED tail-lamps
  • Twin Exhausts with chrome highlights
  • Muscular fuel tank
  • Digital Instrument Cluster
  • Sporty Visor
  • 17-inch Black Alloy Wheels
  • Bucket-style seat for rider
  • Front & Rear Disc Brakes

Engine Performance

The Suzuki Intruder 150 draws its power from a tuned-up 154.9cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns 14bhp of maximum power at 8000rpm and 14NM of maximum torque at 4000rpm, which is downgraded for this cruiser motorcycle. The Suzuki Gixxer is powered by the same engine where it produces 14NM of torque at 6000rpm. The low-and mid-range torque will ensure a better performance on this entry-level cruiser bike. Not only on papers, but also under testing conditions, the Suzuki Intruder 150 has outshined the Avenger in this segment.

Antilock Brake System

According to Autoportal.com, the Suzuki Intruder 150 features Antilock Brake System or ABS, which is really worth appreciating in this segment. The presence of ABS develops a sense of assurance in the rider’s mind at high speeds. ABS enhances the safety features of the Intruder 150. Both Avenger 150cc and 220cc miss out this feature.

Better Fuel Mileage

Suzuki Intruder 150 – 60-65kmpl

Bajaj Avenger 150 Street – 45kmpl

Going with the mileage figures, it can be easily stated that the Suzuki intruder 150 delivers a better fuel mileage than the Avenger.
