Deca-Durabolin is the trade name of the anabolic steroid Nandrolone. It is commonly known as “Deca” among the bodybuilders and is the second most extensively used anabolic steroid. The first place is held by Dianabol and the third by Winstrol. The Nandrolone hormone was first introduced in 1960 by Organon and released in the prescription drug market in 1962 as Deca-Durabolin. This steroid is a commonly used steroid among performance enhancing bodybuilders and athletes. It is extremely beneficial for off-season mass gain and is a favorite among athletes for therapeutic benefits. This hormone has a wide application as a drug in the medical establishments.
The anabolic rating of this steroid is slightly higher than testosterone but its androgenic rating is relatively lower than testosterone, carrying a rating of 37 as compared to testosterone’s rating of 100.
